(4) To enroll through mailing: to mail the application form to Eastern Miles.

4. Do I have password of my Eastern Miles membership card? How shall I get the password?
An initial password is set for each member of Eastern Miles. When you use points for redemption, you must provide the password.
For a member who enrolls online, the password is a number set by himself. If the enrollment is made by other ways, the initial password of the account is set as the last six digits of the number of document used for enrollment (not including letters and signs). If the number of document is less than six digits, “0” should be added in front. After receiving the card from Eastern Miles, you should change the password on the website of Eastern Miles to ensure safety of account.

6.How many types of Eastern Miles points？
There are three types of Eastern Miles point: Elite Points, Redeemable Points and Special Points.
7. What is Elite Points?
Elite Points refers to the points accumulated when taking eligible flights of China Eastern Airlines after becoming a member of Eastern Miles, excluding the points earned from all sorts of promotion activities of Eastern Miles. Elite points are accumulatively calculated in successive 24 months as qualification of Eastern Miles VIP membership.
8. What is Redeemable Points?
Redeemable Points refers to the points accumulated from taking eligible flights of China Eastern Airlines or air partners of Eastern Miles or consuming at non-air partners of Eastern Miles after becoming a member of Eastern Miles, including the points earned from all sorts of promotion activities of Eastern Miles. Under the conditions specified by Eastern Miles, members can redeem various types of awards with Redeemable Points.
9. What is Special Points?
Special points are those customized by Eastern Miles. After becoming a member of Eastern Miles, you can apply to participate a theme activity of Eastern Miles and earn the points specially set in this activity. Details of Special Points are determined by rules of each activity.
10. How to calculate validity period of my points?
Validity period of Eastern Miles points is three-calendar-year. The Redeemable Points accumulated after August 1st, 2006 will be valid till December 1st of the third calendar year. For instance, the points earned from taking the flight on August 5th, 2006 will be valid till December 31st, 2009. If the points are not used for redeeming reward within the period of validity, they will be overdue.
11. Must I combine my multi accounts and multi membership cards of Eastern Miles?
After your membership application has been accepted, you will have one designated Eastern Miles account. Each membership card corresponds to one account, and each member can only accumulate points or redeem rewards in one designated account. To ensure your benefits and interests, Eastern Miles may not accept double application. If you have multi membership cards, it might bring inconvenience to redeeming rewards and affect our management to frequent flyer program as well. Thus, you must combine your multi Eastern Miles accounts into one.
12. How do I deal with damage or loss of membership card?
You need to call（China）40083-95530、（International）+86-21-95530 to apply for membership card replacement. After receiving your application, we will handle it as soon as possible.
13.Does Eastern Miles membership has validity period?
Membership in Eastern Miles is permanent.
Members can terminate their membership by giving written notice at any time. Once the memberships are terminated, all the points in their member account will be cancelled instantly.
Any misconduct, fraud, misuse of program benefits or failure to follow the relevant terms and conditions may result in immediate termination of an individual membership and cancellation of all points in account by Eastern Miles. In addition, Eastern Miles reserves the right with or without notice to terminate an individual’s membership at which time all program points will be cancelled.
Upon the death of a member the membership account will be closed and all outstanding points will be cancelled.
